Responsible Engineer IRES - SAFB


Responsible for overseeing the event support life cycle, ensuring the fulfillment of technical, personnel, facility, and cybersecurity requirements associated with all MDA events.Performs systems engineering activities including developing, promoting and training contract-wide engineering policy and processes, supporting engineering projects (primarily by performing requirements analysis, design, and systems integration), and resolving engineering issues, in order to support the engineering management of Missile Defense Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC) systems and systems-of-systems in collaboration with various Missile Defense Agency (MDA) organizations. Goals include the enhancement of engineering rigor, configuration management, technical baseline management and cybersecurity across the contract. Engineering artifacts will include Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DoDAF) compliant drawings which identify system top-level concepts, requirements, information exchange, designs, and interfaces. Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Works under very limited supervision.

Responsible for an assigned event throughout its entire life cycle

  • Partner with Event Liaisons to solicit, analyze, and manage MDA/IC event requirements

  • Provide verification at major reviews and milestones that MDA/IC provisioned systems and services meet all identified requirements

  • Ensure resolution and/or elevation of issues as the event progresses through the life cycle

  • Document/oversee MDA/IC risk mitigation

  • Ensure compliance with entry/exit criteria for event management phases

  • Facilitate technical reviews and manage AIs

  • Communicate MDA/IC event readiness/status

  • Minimum of DoD Secret Clearance required.

Bachelor of Science and five (5) years experience.
