Process Engineer - IRES - SAFB


Process Engineer supporting the Missile Defense Agency through the IRES contract. Position is located at Schriever AFB, CO. The Process Engineer assists Senior Management and Functional Managers in understanding and conforming to the defined process requirements, identifying process gaps to lead and implement the development of new processes and refinement of existing processes as required improving / optimizing process performance. Identifies process efficiency and integration opportunities to establish streamlined process architecture comprised of program governance documents that represent the integrated program processes, interdependencies, and handoffs between the program’s lines of business. Develops cross-functional workflow diagrams (BPMNs) to identify stakeholders, define process handoffs, and assist with the tailoring of governing process documents and the consolidation and standardization of procedures. Breaks down the big picture into component parts, identifying handoffs, gaps, and overlaps to the process and adjusting documentation accordingly. Builds taxonomies from multiple disparate parts, identifying process lifecycle and associated stakeholders, inputs/outputs, sub-processes, risks, and required metrics. Meets multiple, moving deadlines while maintaining product quality. Assists SMEs in developing process documentation, e.g., plans, procedures, tools, templates, training, handbooks, and guides. Responsible for identifying and establishing process controls and a plan for process activities that includes identification and coordination of stakeholders, determining / understanding process requirements, designing / developing solutions in accordance with the program’s process hierarchy, and developing the communication / training plan to foster process success.



Requirements: BS/BA degree and 6 years experience. Must be a US citizen. Must have an active DoD Secret clearance. Able/willing to flex time for surges in work periods. Experience working with stakeholders including upper management and Government. Ability to work with a team and work independently, when needed. Proficient with MS Office Suite applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Experience working within and applying industry standard frameworks / models, such as AS9100D, ISO, CMMI, ITIL.

Desired: Experience interpreting and performing internal audits for AS9100D. MDA and or DoD experience.
