Description

CND Systems and Tools Engineer is responsible for leading a small team of System Administrators, responsible for all facets of CND application deployment, maintenance, and development, including database management, monitoring, upgrading, software installation/configuration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, database access and security for HP ArcSight and other CND applications. Develop software tools/applications as directed. Coordinate efforts with the Network Security Manager, CERT Manager, and vendor support personnel to resolve Incident Requests, Problems and Change Requests. This position will also support installation and maintenance of Government and Commercial Off-The-Shelf products directly supporting users of CND applications and support design, development, implementation, operations and maintenance of CND applications.

Qualifications

Requirements:BS Degree and 12 years general experience including 8 years’ experience in Cybersecurity specific work. 1 Industry certification. 5 years’ experience as a web site developer or database administrator. 8 years of total experience in related IT field, i.e., servers, routers, firewalls. Must be able to qualify for a current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III certification with Continuing Education (CE) within 30 days. Must be able to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Infrastructure Support certification (CEH, GICSP, or SSCP) within 6 months of hire. Candidate must have an active DoD Secret security clearance to start; must have or be able to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Experience with security analysis and solutions in a WAN/LAN environment. Must have excellent technical writing skills to accomplish required forensic and incident reporting. Must be willing to work in an operational environment, which may require extended hours with no notice on evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends. Must be willing to travel - infrequent and less than two weeks. Must be willing to provide training to other CSSP team members.

Desired:Experience with CERT/CSSP, network, and system security policies and procedures. Experience with correlating security events across a WAN using SIEM tools, ArcSight preferred. Experience with other CND tools/applications, such as ArcSight, HBSS, ACAS, Bluecoat and Barracuda. Current DoD Top Secret clearance. CEH or SSCP certification.
