We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to help support the program located in Colorado Springs, CO at Schriever Air Force Base.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) was selected by the U.S. Missile Defense Agency to participate on the Missile Defense National Team. This team was chartered to develop a Ballistic Missile Defense System for the United States. Missile Defense and Protective Systems (MDPS) serves as Northrop Grumman Mission Systems' focal point for all activities associated with missile defense, including Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC), simulation & modeling, systems engineering, and target discrimination.

Position Responsibilities:

  • The employee will be responsible for coordinating a wide variety of administrative tasks between leadership, senior staff, employees across the C2BMC program, and customer representatives.

  • Specific tasks include:

  • Scheduling meetings and VTCs (Classified/Unclassified)

  • Scheduling and managing resources

  • Maintaining office supplies

  • Assisting project engineer with generating metrics

  • Supporting in-processing of new hires and out-processing of leaving personnel

  • Keeping personnel contact information up to date

  • Coordinating seating within the area

  • Managing the paperwork associated with the contents of the classified safe(s)

  • Maintaining opening/closing procedures for the Quads

  • Maintaining OSHA compliance with the MDIOC

  • Coordination with Government personnel

  • Coordination of MDIOC audits

  • Acting as the emergency point of contact (list of CPR certified personnel, knowledge of emergency drills, supporting Block Captain duties)

  • Escorting visiting personnel

  • Coordinating Distinguished Visitor tours

  • Manage the Remote Access Panel (RAP) user access list

  • Monthly delivery of the Data Accession List items and other administrative duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of work related experience or an Associate Degree or higher

  • Must have an active Secret clearance for this position

  • The Integration and Test Team has an immediate need for an Administrative Assistant to assist with the organization and day-to-day activities of the groups.

  • I&T is looking to augment its staff with a highly motivated and skilled individual that can help in the execution of various administrative activities.

  • The successful candidate will have experience with the operation of a 60 member organization and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

  • Technical skills includes demonstrable skills with organizing resources, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and some PowerPoint), managing schedules, maintaining files, receiving, sorting, and answering mail, and managing phone calls.

  • The candidate will be able to use standard personal computer software to compose reports, correspondence, and memorandums; answer questions related to office operations and established policies and procedures; and juggle multiple activities requiring attention.

  • Candidate must be able to operate in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.

  • Candidate must be organized, detail oriented, and able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tech Writing experience is desired.

  • Security Audit Process and Procedures experience is desired.
