_POSITION SUMMARY_

The Donor Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for marketing and maintaining mobile blood drives in the community and in-house donations to provide a blood supply that meets Penrose-St. Frances patient needs for all blood products, including apheresis products. Working under the direction of the blood bank supervisor or designate, the Donor Recruitment Coordinator will also act as a Donor Customer Service Representative, responsible for public relations, including presentations in the community, the Donor Recognition Dinner, and the performance of customer and mobile satisfaction surveys. In addition, this position will coordinate and implement all marketing strategies identified for the Penrose-St. Francis Blood Bank

_EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS_

Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, Communication, or other related field.

_LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS_

Valid Colorado Drivers License, must have reliable transportation

_EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS_

1 year of Marketing, Sales or Public Relations in the healthcare industry preferred.

Above average organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to meet time lines.

_POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS_

  • Responsible for the marketing, public relations, and recruitment tasks in an organized and efficient manner to provide results in acceptable time frames.

  • Coordinates all marketing and public relations activities for the Penrose-St. Francis Blood Bank.

  • Coordinates the Donor Recognition activities.

  • Provides effective stewardship of marketing resources in the areas of responsibility.

  • Uses knowledge and understanding of department operations to enhance service and promote superior operation of the department.

_PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS_

Medium Work- Exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly
