Robert Half Finance is looking for an ambitious Controller to join a well-respected Medical services company. As the Controller, you will be planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. Major responsibilities - Manage the production of the yearly budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly - Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible - Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required - Act on items beyond formal job responsibilities - Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management - Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies - Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll - Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports - Review deliverables of self and team to align with client expectations - Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection - Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

Requirements: - Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field - Foundational knowledge in accounts receivable aging - Earlier work involving financial statements consolidation - Deep understanding of accounts receivable - Practical knowledge of financial auditing - Proven knowledge of intercompany accounts - Accounts payable experience required - Experience with accounts payable - Well-founded grasp of financial analysis - Wide ranging experience with financial statement preparation - Quality experience with financial reporting - General familiarity with financial reconciliation - Solid understanding of QuickBooks - Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions - Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus - CPA/MBA preferred - Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks - Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment - Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines - Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities - 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
